Ground Breaking - Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Although the day started out with a dense fog, all the students were bused to the building site to mark the occasion. Click on the thumbnails below to view photos:

 
The first load of rebar arrives on the construction site. This rebar will be used in the footings. Mr. Jenks leads singing on site! Happy students on the building site.
     
Ron Knutson and Brian Fritts, SJA’s construction consultant, inspects the lines that mark where the excavator is to dig trenches for the footings. Mr. Harris is briefed about the project by Ron Knutson SJA students and faculty line up to give a hearty ‘Thank You’ cheer. This is an exciting day!
     
   
Not long after the pictures of the children were taken the sun broke through the fog and the digging progressed in beautiful weather!
